River Oak is inspired by my love of the old English oak tree, so full of character and strength with their robust twisted branches and beautiful rich colours as they grow through the seasons. I was playing with metalic fluid paints and lost myself in the moment when the branches started appear. I went with this and encouraged the paint to settle into organic forms then when the paint dried I took it to the easel and painted into the shapes that were gifted until this beautiful oak tree appeared. It was such a fulfilling process and produced with much care and love.
Colours - soft greys, white, brown, touch very light soft pink/peach blended to the grey for depth in the centre. Metalic warm steel/silver.
ALL original work and prints are signed, archive numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity.
