Original Painting
 
'Orientation' is a piece I created over many evenings when I first arrived in Lewes. Its a light hearted abstract expression of finding my way around, meeting new people, setting up home and a corner to paint. Wandering up to the hilltops and looking out to the neighbouring villages. Registering with the council and doctor and dentist and all the practical things that take up time but all done with a sense of excitement, every day full of little wins and new discoveries, hope and happiness.
 
Palette - Greys, creams, white, muted blues and greens, rusty orange with paynes grey line markings. A thin dark line is painted around the border. 
 
The sides are neatly painted white.
 
This painting is unframed.
 
ALL original work and prints are signed, archive numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity.
