Original Painting
'Nimbus' is 100cm x 100cm x 4cm depth. Acrylic on cotton stretched canvas.
As this incredibly hot Summer has slipped into Autumn, I've taken many evening walks up into the hills to find sunset viewpoints with mesmerising big skies. I've seen many different colour shows as new a weather front came in, sometimes completely changing from dark and stormy nimbus clouds to pink and fluffy cumulus. Back in the studio, I've chanelled how it felt to be under those beautiful skies and decided to add more spectrum with the earthy green of the land, dark teal, purples, pink, clay, and a hint of ochre. I didn't want to paint clouds, but an expression of the moment.
Frame - This painting comes with complimentary strip wood painted framing. This can be easily removed should you wish to reframe.
