I'd like to welcome 'Evette' a new painting to the ongoing series of my signature 'Undergrowth' paintings.
 
Boldly painted with loose brush strokes that suggest wild flowers, stems, leaves, old and new growth, with the sense of depth and density that I love to observe in the ancient woodlands where a walk daily. With license to throw in hightened colours and forms that reflect my happiness of being close to nature and with special appreciation of the unexpected twists and turns within the undergrowth and how the awkward and "ugliness" of the undergrowth, to me, is beautiful.
 
Palette - Dark Blue/Teal background, accents of warm whites, teal, copper, burgundy, pale muted green.
 
The sides are neatly painted white.
 
ALL original work and prints are signed, archive numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity.
