This is 'Ellwood'  a painting newly added to the ongoing series of my signature 'Undergrowth' paintings.
 
Boldly painted with loose brush strokes that suggest wild flowers, stems, leaves, old and new growth. The palette was chosen by nature itself, From a nearby wild hillside in suburbia I gathered various wild flowers, grasses, old leaves, branches and dried berries still on their stalks and mixed my paints with these on the table beside me. Then with the shapes and colours put to memory I began my painting and immersed myself in a lovely peaceful world of muted greens and neutral tones. 
 
 
Palette - Muted greens, dark charcoal grey, white, light grey, warm clay pink and cotton white.
 
The sides are neatly painted white.
 
ALL original work and prints are signed, archive numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity.
