Original Painting
 
The name 'Brayleigh' is an ancient American name for 'Ray of Hope'. This painting is the newest edition to my Undergrowth Series within my Signature Collection. I use my imagination and memory from my regular walking place in the Ancient woodlands near my studio, recalling and representing the beauty of the undergrowth within the shadows of the dense woodland floor. I see so often these magical rays of light filtering through the canopy and spotlighting little wild flowers that to me are life celebrations. With changing light and seasons along with my interpretation, the palette is infinite for this series and I never tire of approaching the subject.
 
The colours here are of dark tones of deep purple and deep turquoise, interspersed with bright yellow, yellow ochre, mauve, teal and different tones of light from bright white to a warm soft taupe. 
 
The sides are neatly painted white.
 
ALL original work and prints are signed, archive numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity.
