Original Painting
 
'Adria' is part of my ongoing  'Tidal Pools' Series. The inspiration for this series is the tidal pool in Margate. When I saw this and returned several times over a few weeks, I noticed how the colours changed so dramatically with the time of day, the light, weather, reflections from the sky. I also observed the man-made structure decayed by the sea and inhabited by barnicles, shells and other organisms. With this memory of straight lines, the decay and the colour, I created this series of infinite possibilities!
 
Tip:   The main body of the painting is an 'warm off-white' not a bright white, therefore I think works better with a colour background. 
 
This piece is highly textured in places, with texture medium and golden under layers that peek through. 
 
The sides are neatly painted white.
 
ALL original work and prints are signed, archive numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity.
